Subaru may have plans to bring back the STI. The carmaker has just confirmed two new STI concepts for the upcoming Japan Mobility Show, scheduled for October 31, 2025.
This year, the Subaru booth will be divided into two experiential worlds: Performance Scene and Adventure Scene. While the latter will showcase the Trailseeker, Forester and Outback, the STI concept models will be the centrepiece of the Performance Scene.
The Performance-E STI concept previews the next generation of Subaru cars. It features a sharper, more aggressive design language with sleek headlamps. Both concept cars are expected to be finished in the famous World Rally Blue paint with gold accents.
According to the company, the Performance-B STI concept represents Subaru’s Performance Scene. It features a horizontally-opposed internal combustion engine and symmetrical all-wheel drive.
The teaser reveals a familiar-looking hatchback concept with sharp lines, wide fenders, a hood vent and a large grille with red accents around the frame.
