Leapmotor B10 teased ahead of Oct 14 debut in Paris

The Leapmotor B10 has been teased ahead of its official debut on October 14, 2024 at this year’s Paris Motor Show. Set to go on sale in China before making its way to global markets, the B10 is a compact SUV that could potentially rival the Kia EV3 as well as the BMW iX1.

Based on the teaser images, design cues seen on the camouflaged B10 include a protruding nose, sculpted bonnet, short overhangs as well as flush door handles. Details are limited for now, but the company says the B10 will use a new B platform and its latest ‘Leap 3.5’ electrical architecture.

Almost every Leapmotor electric vehicle (EV) on sale, aside from the T03 city car, is offered with a range-extender option, and the B10 is expected to follow suit. Again, the company isn’t giving too much away until next month, although it did say the B platform is an important part of its globalisation strategy.

As stated the company, the B platform will underpin a variety of models set to be introduced in 2025 which the company says are designed to “meet the needs of different consumer groups for personalised and intelligent models.”

In China, the Leapmotor line-up includes the T03, C01, C10, C11 and C16. From that bunch, the C10 and T03 have been officially launched in Europe on September 24, with the former set to be previewed to the Malaysian public this weekend – the T03 was shown here in May.
