According to rumors, the next-generation Audi RS5 is likely to debut before the end of June 2025. We’ve also been told that the car was recently revealed to Audi authorized dealers at a private event.
The 2026 Audi RS5 will be offered in sedan and Avant body styles and, for the first time, get a plug-in hybrid powertrain. It will use a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 producing 434 hp, while the plug-in hybrid system will add another 174 hp, taking the combined output to over 600 hp.
Being a PHEV, the RS5 will also be capable of running in pure electric mode. It is said that the car might have a maximum electric range of 50 miles (WLTP cycle). The performance will be brisk too, with the RS5 estimated to complete the sprint from 0-62 mph in 3.4 seconds.
Now, recent spy images suggest that the new RS5 Avant and sedan will feature an aggressive exterior design with a large Singleframe grille and sweptback LED headlamps up front and slim LED taillights and quad exhausts at the back.
