The wallywhy150 made its Asia debut in Singapore in April 2025
Wally is a yachting brand known for doing things differently. From the avant-garde wallytender to its high-performance Wally class of sailing yachts, the builder that’s part of the Ferretti Group made its name in breaking moulds and re-inventing classics. So, it’s no surprise that when Wally waded into the waters of larger motoryachts, it would present models that make people stop and stare.

Following on the heels of the wallywhy200, Wally unleashed its 23.99m wallywhy150. Recently making her Asia debut at the Singapore Yachting Festival in April, the first wallywhy150 is now plying Asian waters.
“The wallywhy150 has been very well received in Asia, as clients appreciate the way this model redefines interior volume and exterior spaces,” said Andrew Pitchford, Sales Director of Ferretti Group Asia Pacific. “The unique wraparound glazing in the high bow gives a 270-degree panoramic view of the sea from the full-beam owner’s cabin, dining or lounge area, depending on the configuration.”
The wide-body design allows for an extremely spacious interior
With in-house exterior design by Wally, naval architecture by Ferretti Engineering Group and interior design by Vallicelli Design Studio, the wallywhy150 was developed at the same time as the wallywhy200.
The team at Wally say that the brief for the yacht’s design was clear: create a sub-24m yacht that retained the iconic Wally DNA, delivering maximum liveability, usability and connection to the sea, all enveloped in a bold, futuristic package. It needed to feel like a superyacht in terms of volume and presence, offer seamless indoor-outdoor flow, and challenge conventions in both form and function – and be seaworthy and efficient.
The new offering was designed to distil the best of her big sister in a slightly smaller edition. Yet within her 150GT of volume, the wallywhy150 still packs in quite a lot, pushing the boundaries of what a sub-24m yacht can do. Key to this is the yacht’s full-beam main deck design.

“For the wallywhy range, internal volume is a crucial factor,” says Andrea Vallicelli, of the interior design studio. “To achieve this, a wide-body design was adopted, allowing for an extremely spacious saloon and owner’s cabin on the main deck, while still accommodating three cabins on the lower deck.”
A wraparound swath of glazing runs from the cockpit and around the entirety of the main deck, including across the front of the bow. This not only gives the wallywhy150 a distinct look on the outside, but, coupled with the wide-body layout, it also changes the way the yacht is lived in inside.
The standard layout features the master suite forward on the main deck, while the Asia-Pacific layout is designed with an airy saloon in this space, and a lower-deck master cabin. The forward room offers a panoramic view through the wraparound windows. Positioning the his-and-hers en-suite behind the bedroom bulkhead means not a centimetre of sightline is sacrificed.

“The interior was centred around preserving key features from her larger sibling, the wallywhy200, such as the iconic owner’s cabin at the bow, while introducing new design elements,” Vallicelli said. “One notable innovation was the lowered cockpit area, situated close to the sea, which necessitated a 75cm split level in the saloon to provide direct access to the sea without stairs.”
Views are maximised in the main saloon as well. Instead of a typical saloon layout with the sofas facing inwards, the sofa is specifically positioned to face aft, looking out over the lowered cockpit and the sea beyond. It’s a subtle change from the typical superyacht layout and makes a huge difference. When it’s time for a movie night, a television emerges from a low-slung sideboard that straddles the space between the sofa and cockpit.

“The saloon, which is split at the deck level, is unified at the ceiling level by a wave-shaped connection between the two heights,” Vallicelli said. “This design element not only serves a formal purpose but also allows the aft section of the saloon to reach a maximum height of 2.75m, enhancing the sense of volume upon entering the boat.”
The main deck living spaces can also be swapped around to best suit the owner. Multiple layouts were developed to cater to different markets while preserving the internal structure as much as possible. The ‘why’ in wallywhy stands for ‘Wally Hybrid Yacht’, but the hybrid refers not to the yacht’s propulsion system but to her flexible layouts and usage.
“Similar to the wallywhy200, the front cabin can be converted into a dining area to cater to the Asian market, resulting in a three-cabin layout,” Vallicelli explained. “Overall, the design prioritises simplicity of use and potential reconfiguration, with a strong emphasis on visibility and access to the exterior landscape and the sea.”
An uninterrupted flow from the saloon to aft deck enhances indoor-outdoor living. And when you’re down at near sea level on the expansive aft terrace, the wallywhy150 really shines.

Luca Bassani, Wally’s founder and Chief Designer, said: “The terrace-on-the-sea is as ingrained in Wally’s DNA as carbon-fibre. It was first introduced aboard Tiketitan, which had a main saloon below deck overlooking the open transom offering unique access to the sea.
“In 2012, the terrace-on-sea concept was reinterpreted for the first wallyace, which featured an aft owner’s suite and VIP cabin opening onto the terrace-on-the-sea. It’s something that has been there from the beginning – and was then carried over to the wallypower range – and it’s one of the key differentiators Wally has versus other boats, which is the feeling of connection with the sea.”
Also in keeping with the Wally family is the characteristic exterior styling. The wallywhy150’s angular pilothouse design is a direct reference to the famed geometric windscreen of the original wallypower118. While the design is reminiscent of previous Wallys, it’s a functional choice as well.

“Wally design always follows function, so the pilothouse’s angular design is a consequence of the T-top [over the flybridge] and is almost a happy coincidence,” Bassani said. “But when you use the same kind of shapes you end up with the same kind of solutions, and that’s also why we have chosen a similar colour to the 118. It’s a little bit of an homage to that iconic design.”
Carbon-fibre was used in the upper structures to reduce weight and lower the centre of gravity, enhancing stability and performance. An evolution of the wallywhy200 design, the wallywhy150 has a full-length flybridge, providing ample exterior space up top, which is mostly shaded by the T-top, and more shade structures can be added as needed. The sail-fabric T-top provides lightweight sun protection while preserving visibility.
Of course, fitting everything into the smaller wallywhy150 created design challenges that the Wally and Ferretti Group team had to solve creatively. One challenge was how to integrate the forward mooring system in the yacht’s more compact layout. To solve this, the forward mooring gear was relocated to the upper deck – an unconventional but efficient solution.
“To preserve the bow cabin on this sub-24m boat, we had to integrate the anchor chains into the interior design,” Vallicelli said. “Rather than concealing them behind a cover, we transformed this engineering feature into a decorative element.

“The two oval columns visible from the bed serve as the minimum chain net-space with sound insulation thickness. Structurally reinforced, these columns enabled us to increase window visibility by removing an additional mullion on the glass.”
The hull of the wallywhy150 was developed by the Ferretti Group Engineering Department using advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to simulate hydrodynamic performance.
Optimised for efficiency and speed, the wallywhy150 offers a range of 370 nautical miles at an 18-knot cruising speed, allowing for amiable coastal cruising, and the yacht tops out at 23 knots with the standard-fitted triple Volvo Penta IPS1350 engines. The IPS system allows for ease of manoeuvrability and responsiveness, whether cruising or docking.
With nimble handling, the design DNA of a Wally, a wide-body build for spacious interiors, and a layout that’s designed to make the most of the views outside, the wallywhy150 will have you asking, why not?

Mauritius calling! That mythical place travel influencers whisper about while casually sipping cocktails under palm trees that conveniently match their nail polish. After 16 glorious years of five-star islanding, the resort has decided it’s time to up the ante — and call in the big design guns. London-based studio 1508 London was tasked with turning this tropical icon into a “living canvas.” Yes, you heard that right. Your Instagram stories are about to get a lot more artistic.
So, what’s new? Think less “generic beach chic,” more “Understated Beach Elegance” (translation: it’s still expensive, but now with more natural fibres and fewer throw pillows). The designers have blended light-toned materials, rich wood details, and the kind of soothing colour palette that screams, “I do yoga on the veranda every morning,” even if you’ve just been inhaling room service pancakes.
The villas and residence rentals are now an immersive experience — or, as we like to say, a masterclass in making your actual home feel wildly inadequate. There’s an emphasis on Mauritian craftsmanship, local textures, and an “outside-in” vibe that makes you feel one with nature, without having to actually, you know, camp. According to Martin Dell, the resort’s General Manager and resident visionary of tropical refinement: “There are many stories to be told and many memories to be made here.” Translation? We’ve made the place so gorgeous, even your in-laws will be impressed.
And designer Anthony Taylor of 1508 London is no less poetic, describing the revamp as a balance between “timeless luxury” and “coastal beauty.” (We assume he said this while reclining on an artisanally handwoven lounger, casually sipping a coconut.)
The resort plans to fling open its perfectly curated doors again in early November, just in time for those of us who believe winter is something to flee, not endure. Bottom line: If you like your villas sun-drenched, your interiors tastefully tropical, and your vacations filled with subtle design flexes, the reimagined Four Seasons Mauritius at Anahita might just be your new spiritual home. Just don’t forget to book early — beauty like this doesn’t stay secret for long.

Uber is expanding its operations along Italy’s beautiful Amalfi Coast this summer.
The rideshare company is launching Uber Copter and Uber Boat operations in Sorrento, Italy, running from June 25 to Aug. 24.
Travelers can book Uber Copter or Uber Boat services at least 48 hours in advance on the Uber app.
Traveling up and down Italy’s gorgeous Amalfi Coast is about to get a little more streamlined this summer.
Uber announced that it is launching Uber Copter and Uber Boat in Sorrento, Italy, allowing visitors to use the app to travel by air, sea, or land throughout Southern Italy this summer. Starting June 25, reservations for the new services will be available to book through the Uber app within Italy.
Uber will also expand its ground transportation options by launching Uber Reserve on the Amalfi Coast, which gives riders the ability to book rides in advance and beat the busy crowds at Salerno Airport. Uber Copter and Uber Boat will be limited to availability on summer weekends.
Departing from an exclusive helipad in Sorrento, Uber Copter gives travelers the option to pre-book private, round-trip journeys to Capri by helicopter. The service allows groups of up to six people to travel in a dual-pilot helicopter for €250 (about $290) per person and includes door-to-door transportation to and from the helicopter.
For travelers eager to head out to sea on the Amalfi Coast, Uber Boat allows users to book a private four-hour charter cruise for up to 12 people, including a personal skipper, snacks, and beverages. The boat will set sail from Sorrento Marina.
“At Uber, we strive to help our customers go anywhere, wherever they are travelling.” Anabel Diaz, Uber’s vice president of Europe, Middle East, and Africa mobility, said in a statement shared with Travel + Leisure. “Italy is fast becoming one of our most popular tourist destinations, with travelers turning to the Uber app to help make their holiday travel stress-free. This summer, we’re adding a series of unforgettable experiences that will make travelling by land, sea or air more magical than ever before.”

According to Uber, more than 400,000 people used Uber in Italy last summer, and 60,000 people opened the app in the Amalfi Coast in just the last 12 months.
Both Uber Copter and Uber Boat must be booked at least 48 hours in advance through Uber Reserve, and the seasonal offerings will run every Saturday and Sunday from July 26 to Aug. 24. The availability of the services will be subject to weather conditions.

How to Get to Cascais, Where to Stay & When to Visit
Getting to Cascais:
If you’re flying into Portugal, you’ll likely land at Humberto Delgado International Airport (LIS). From Lisbon, you can hop on a 40-minute train ride from Cais do Sodré along the coast to Cascais. Alternatively, you can hire a car or grab an Uber/Bolt from the airport (around 30–45 minutes, depending on the traffic and time of day) which costs around 22-30€.
Where to stay in Cascais: For easy brunch access and walking access to all the main spots and best cafes, base yourself in or near the old town in Cascais. Boutique hotels and charming guesthouses are dotted all throughout the town centre, so you won’t be stuck for options. Airbnb is a good option too for those local feel spots.
Best Time to Visit Cascais: Brunch is good year-round here, but for al fresco breakfasts and blue skies, aim for April through October is going to be your best bet. July and August are considered peak season here in Portugal, great energy for sure, but it gets busy, so you’ll want to bear in mind the popular spots are likely to have queues!
1. Unity Coffee Roasters
A minimalist, modern café that takes its coffee seriously. Unity Coffee Roasters is not messing around with their coffee. Their in-house roasted beans make for some of the smoothest espresso in town, and the vibe is sleek, warm, and welcoming. Grab a flaky pastry or sourdough sandwich with your choice of coffee and start your day right!

2. Euphoria Specialty Coffee
Coffee & Brunch at Euphoria Specialty is a newer spot that’s quickly making waves in this gorgeous coastal town.
Located near the waterfront, it is here you can get smoothie bowls, eggs, and healthy toast options with a Mediterranean twist.
The addition of great tunes, friendly staff, and a few outdoor tables (see picture below) make it one of the best cafes in Cascais right now. A great spot to have coffee and brunch and watch the world go by. Check them out on Instagram here.

3. Honest Greens
Honest Greens is a dream and probably my fav brunch spot in Cascais due to it’s amazing menu, stunning interior design and option to sit inside or outside amongst the palms.
This healthy hot spot serves up colourful plates that are packed with fresh, creative and seasonal ingredients. It’s ideal for a post-hike or pre-road trip brunch if you’re heading inland and want to fuel up with all the good stuff.
Think matcha lattes, grain bowls, smoothies, bottomless fruit waters, loaded avo toasts and seriously good coffee. One of best places to eat in Cascais also because they have lots of seating so can accommodate the crowds it attracts!

4. Café Galeria House of Wonders
Lots of people actually recommended this spot but I never personally got to try it out.
Apparently this is the spot for rooftop views and a creative vegan buffet. It’s a long-term favourite with tourists and locals. With eclectic décor, a roof terrace, and feel-good plant-based dishes, this is one of the most unique brunch spots in Cascais, Portugal. Ideal for a long, leisurely meal with friends. 5. Mâide
Coffee/Brunch @ Mâide is where brunch meets contemporary art and cute beach vibes.
It may be located just outside of the town centre but this is a spot you don’t want to miss. The menu is AMAZING. Think everything from loaded sourdough, poke bowls, mexican tacos and pancakes… to matcha lattes, smoothies and coconut cappucinos. You are guaranteed to love something on the menu here and you’ll be equally loving on the interior of this minimalistic, pink-infused paradise. 10/10 from me. Check Mâide on Instagram

6. Fauna & Flora Cascais
Another popular brunch spots in Cascais, Portugal, Fauna & Flora is perfect if you want big portions, good design, and every brunch trend imaginable on one menu.
Try the huevos rancheros, ricotta pancakes, or tropical bowls if you come!! The tropical interior makes this a go-to for brunch photos and social, good vibe seekers.

Scandi-cool meets Portuguese charm at Fika, a café that roasts its own beans and serves brunch with a minimalist touch. A very popular spot with remote freelancers and creative types. On the menu you have your sourdough toasties, cinnamon buns, and all the coffees you could dream of.

8. Nicolau Cascais
The Lisbon cult-favourite has made its way to Cascais, finally, and it’s just as dreamy. The vibe is elegant brunch here – probably the most ‘sophisticated brunch spot’ of them all.
The menu is filled with pancake stacks, granola bowls, poached eggs and green smoothies, and you have the choice of indoor or outdoor dining!
We just went for a drink (the dirty chair was stunning) but we saw lots of food coming out and it looked amazing, so I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it! One of the best brunch menus in town, this one’s not to be missed. Visit Nicolau.

9. Local Cascais
Simple, friendly and always buzzing, Local is another great brunch spot.
Their classic eggs, brunch boards and smoothies make it a solid all-rounder, and the vibe is unfussy and welcoming. It’s a good one to keep in your back pocket when you’re not sure what you’re in the mood for, but you know it needs to involve coffee.
That’s my pick of the best brunch spots in Cascais, Portugal. Honestly though, sometimes its just lovely to wander the colourful streets and use your intuition to pick out somewhere random! There are so many cool spots here in Lisbon, they do brunch so well in Cascais in particular! Have the best trip!

There are so many things to do in Antalya; an area so beautiful, that it’s hard to believe it’s real. When you research Turkey, you’ll no doubt see plenty of pictures of this place turn up. It’s one of the best places to visit in Turkey, year-round, and I believe that it’s one of the most stunning areas of the world; a bold claim, I know.
I lived in Turkey for several years and still visit regularly now. I’m married to a Turkish man and am lucky to have his guidance whenever we go somewhere new. The first time we went sightseeing in Antalya I couldn’t believe we hadn’t been before. I’ve traveled to many places outside of Antalya, such as Izmir and Marmaris, but this place is a jaw-dropper and somewhere I’d always return to.
However, it’s important to remember that Antalya City and Antalya province are different. Antalya City is one destination, but Antalya province is a larger region that includes many other coastal towns and resorts. The good news is that there are so many amazing places to visit in Antalya that you won’t spend a second of your time wondering what to do next.
The first thing to know is that Antalya is a big and busy city. That’s why figuring out the best things to do in Antalya is important from the get-go. Out of all the available Antalya attractions—and there are many—you have to think about what calls out to your interests.
The thing that stood out to me was the natural side of the city. Yes, it’s a huge place, but it’s so beautiful and isn’t overly built up. It manages to be modern yet old at the same time, traditional yet functional; it’s quite a feat to achieve.
But, I want to help you have the best time possible, so here are 15 of the best things to do when you visit Antalya City (+ a few nearby day trips from Antalya).
The fact that there’s a huge, simply stunning waterfall right in the middle of a city is pretty mindblowing. A visit to Duden Waterfalls is one of the coolest things to do in Antalya – it’s low-cost and well worth the experience. You can stand right on the edge and look down as the water cascades and then thunders down into the sea, creating rainbows amidst the fog and foam.
It’s pretty magical, and something you have to do. Duden Waterfalls are easy to get to as they’re on the way to Lara Beach, so you can easily combine a day at the beach with a visit here; it shouldn’t take more than an hour to explore and sit and have a coffee if you wish. One of the best things to do in Antalya for families is to visit the Land of Legends Theme Park. There’s so much to see and do here, you’ll need at least one full day, but you can also stay in the on-site hotel and spend a second day if you choose. There are rides, restaurants, shopping, and shows to enjoy.

If you’re traveling with children, this is one of the best places to visit in Antalya and it should definitely be added to your itinerary. I had a great day here, and even though my husband isn’t one for rides, I did manage to persuade him! However, I would recommend you get your Land of Legends tickets beforehand to avoid the queues. There are many things to do in Antalya Old Town, so I recommend you set aside a full day to spend here. The park around the Old Town is really beautiful and is ideal for taking panoramic photographs, but there’s also Hadrian’s Gate, Hidirlik Tower, and the cobbled, winding streets around the town to explore.
This is one of the best free things to do in Antalya, and it offers a great opportunity to get some souvenir shopping, as there are plenty of small shops where you can haggle for your purchases. Around an hour’s drive away from the city center you’ll find Köprülü Canyon National Park, one of the most unique things to do in Antalya. I was stunned at the sheer beauty of this entire area, but it’s also a great place to go if you enjoy extreme sports. A whitewater rafting trip is a brilliant idea if you’re looking to test your bravery. Click here to learn more.
I visited this park in the middle of summer, and the shade and depth of the canyon provided great relief from the heat. However, it was particularly busy, so if you don’t enjoy crowds, perhaps visiting around June or September would be a better idea. Despite that, it’s one of the top things to do near Antalya, and it would be a crime to miss it.
The entire Antalya province is packed with ancient ruins and history to uncover, and that’s something I always enjoy doing. I was really surprised at how many ruins were so close to the city center, and Aspendos is less than 10 minutes away from the Old Town. It’s one of the best places to visit in Antalya if you’re a lover of all things history, like me.
This ancient theater is extremely well preserved, and it’s one of the top tourist attractions in Antalya, dating back to the 5th century BC. Standing at the top and looking down gives quite a powerful feeling, and you can just imagine the hustle and bustle of life back in the day.
Konyaaltı Beach is the main beach in Antalya, and it’s stunning – there’s no other word for it. The sea is crystal clear, and the mountainous background is breathtaking. The other plus point is that the beach is especially wide and long; meaning there’s always plenty of space, even when it’s crowded in summer.
Spending some time soaking up the sun and splashing in the Mediterranean is one of the top things to do in Antalya, and there’s no better spot for it than here. You will need to pay for sun loungers and parasols, and prices vary depending on where on the beach you are, so keep this in mind.
You can expect to pay less than 100 Lira ($3.50 USD) for a full day’s usage, which isn’t bad when you consider this beach is one of the best attractions in Antalya, and possibly even Turkey.
Less than one hour away from the city center you’ll find Termessos, one of the best places for views, hiking, and enjoying history. Dating back to around 333 BC, the views are something else, and on a clear day you can see for miles. I took a hiking tour here, and the entire area blew me away. Click here for more information.
Without a doubt, this is one of the top things to see in Antalya, and you don’t need to be an expert hiker to enjoy it; you just need to have a reasonable level of fitness. I would strongly suggest you wear comfortable shoes and a hat – it can be very hot during the summer months, and there’s very little shade around the ruins and the mountainside. Take plenty of water too.
There are lots of fun things to do in Antalya, but one of the most unique is a visit to Sandland. With new exhibitions every year, you can see sand sculptures by talented artists from across the globe here. I have to say, I was skeptical at first, but once I got there, I was glued. It’s a really interesting place and there are lots of different themes to check out.
Sandland is between Antalya and Lara Beach, so it’s really easy to visit and you can pair it with a little beach time too. It’s one of the most interesting places to visit near Antalya, and it’s a great option for a fun family day out.
I stumbled upon Selfie Park by accident, but it was such a super day, and even if you’re not a big selfie fan, you’ll probably find yourself snapping away. We managed to lose three hours, just taking photographs, but the time went so fast because it was so much fun – I can’t remember laughing that much in ages.
If you’re looking for things to do to beat the heat for a few hours and do something a little different, I’d highly recommend this place. It’s really unique, and if you have a birthday while you’re there, you can book a special package and have some even better photos to share on your social media.
Antalya Archaeology Museum is one of the best museums I’ve ever been to, and I found it refreshing to find something so historic and educational in the middle of a place famed for beach time. This is one of the best things to do in Antalya if you’re a history fan, and the exhibits are really easy to follow; making it great for families too.
There are so many historical activities to do in Antalya, it’s is an open-air museum in so many ways, but a few hours spent in this museum will teach you a lot about days gone by. I loved the Emperor’s Hall, dedicated to Roman emperors, and the Sarcophagi Hall the most.
It’s very easy to lose a few hours in TerraCity; not only because it’s so big, but also because it’s home to a surprising amount of things to do inside. For me, this is one of the best things to do in Antalya for couples, because there are some great restaurants where you can enjoy a quiet meal. If you want to try another shopping center, the Mall of Antalya is also good.
Inside the mall, you’ll find all the big names, as well as some local ones. There’s a cinema, food hall, cafes, and lots of designer stores if you want to purchase something particularly special. I’m quite a fan of shopping and enjoyed my trip here; I managed to buy a fair amount, and with the exchange rate, I saved quite a lot on the price back home.
Soccer is big business in Turkey, and if you get the chance to get a Süper Lig match when you’re in the country, I’d highly recommend you go. There’s a vibrant atmosphere, no matter where you are, and you’ll see visitors of all ages in attendance; making it a fun thing to do for families. Antalyaspor is the big team in this part of the country, and Antalya Stadium is their home ground.
Watching a match is one of the best things to do around Antalya, (if you can get tickets), and you don’t have to be the biggest soccer fan to enjoy the experience. After the match, you’ll see everyone heading to the nearest cafes, bars, and restaurants to (hopefully) celebrate a win – join in and enjoy the extra fun vibe.
The Ancient City of Perge is very close to the city center, and it’s one of the most stunning places to see in Antalya. I’ve already mentioned how much I love historical sites, and this one does not disappoint. Originally a Lycian village, Perge grew over time and then fell under Greek and Roman rule.
Along with Aspendos, Perge was an important city during Hellenistic times, and you can still see so much of the original foundations even today. This is another open-air museum where you can just walk around and almost feel the whispers of the past around you.

When the weather is hot, taking a boat trip around the coastline is one of the best things to do in Antalya. In fact, even when it’s not so hot, it’s still a great idea. One of the most popular trips is to Suluada Island – I can honestly say that I’ve never seen water this clear in my life and the trip itself was such a fantastic day out.

However, I wouldn’t recommend this full-day trip in July or August. Sure, the sun is beating down with summer vibes, but that same sun is also extremely intense, and a friend of mine was very sick after spending so much time outdoors. I’d advise going in June or September when you can better enjoy the scenery without the risk of extremely high temperatures.
One of my favorite things to do in Antalya is to head off on a Jeep safari tour around the Taurus Mountains. The scenery is jaw-dropping, and the countryside is so calm and serene compared to the hustle and bustle of the city. You’ll also stop for a delicious meal in a local village, which allows you to try traditional cuisine at the same time.
There are indeed lots of things to see in Antalya, but it’s important to head into nature sometimes and take in the wonder of it all. This part of Turkey is supremely beautiful, and while modern-day fun is important, these types of trips show you a different side of the city that you may otherwise miss out on. In Closing
There are so many places to visit in Antalya that it’s essential to have an idea of what you want to see before you go. The first time I went to Antalya, I went without a plan, and I missed out on a few top attractions. This did, however, mean that I had to go back again, which was definitely not a hardship.
If you visit during the summer months, I’d highly recommend hiring a car and heading to some of the other small towns around the province too. There are some amazing beaches in this part of the country, including the famous Kaputaş Beach. But even if you base yourself in Antalya city alone, I guarantee you won’t be bored for one single second.
It’s the middle of summer in Europe, which means it’s strawberry season and the perfect time to take delivery of a one-off Porsche 911 S/T finished in a shade called Fraise.
Fraise, which is French for “strawberry”, is a classic Porsche color that was used on the iconic 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7. One might confuse it with Rubystar and Rubystar Neo shades. But, as you can see, Fraise is a bit more reddish, while Rubystar has a pinkish tone.
This, rather special 911 S/T was commissioned by one of our friends whose cars have been featured on The Supercar Blog before. It was built by Porsche’s Sonderwunsch division, which gives customers complete freedom to customize their cars. What makes it more special is that this 911 S/T is the only one of the 1963 units built with a one-of-one ‘Paint to Sample Plus’ color. Naturally, it’s one of the most expensive 911 S/Ts out there.
Apart from the exterior, the cabin has also been meticulously customized. The interior is trimmed in Guards Red leather upholstery. The dashboard is wrapped in the same red leather. Even the headliner is red! The list of options on this car is just insane. Even the treadplates are unique and have a backlit ‘Unobtanium’ script.
The Porsche 911 S/T was launched to mark the 60th anniversary of 911. It is based on the GT3 RS and is said to be the “ultimate collector’s 911”.
Powering the 911 ST is the same 4.0-liter flat-6 engine as the GT3 RS. It makes 518 hp and is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox via a lightweight clutch and a single-mass flywheel. Porsche claims a 0-60 mph time of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 186 mph.

Bentley is working on a hardcore version of the Continental GT. The latest spy images have revealed a prototype with a wild body kit, which has led to speculations about a new Supersports being on the horizon.
The Supersports has been the flagship variant of the Continental. The second generation was introduced in 2017 before it was discontinued a year later.
The latest iteration of the Continental Supersports will be based on the fourth-generation model. Spy images reveal familiar design elements, including the reprofiled headlamps with integrated DRLs, the wider grille and the sleek oval taillights.
Coming to the upgrades, the new Continental Supersports is likely to feature a more aggressive front bumper with small dive planes and a more prominent splitter. It has quad exhausts and a massive spoiler at the back.
Technical details of the new extreme Continental are still unclear. It will most likely be powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, paired with a plug-in hybrid system. The same setup delivers 771 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque in the Continental GT Speed. The Supersports is expected to pack a lot more performance than that.

Earning Membership Rewards Points
As I mentioned, the best feature of this card is the ability to earn 4x in the two categories where your business spends the most (on your first $150,000 of spending each year). It’s important to understand that this doesn’t include all spending categories though, just these six eligible categories:
Purchases at US media providers for advertising in select media (online, TV, radio)
U.S. purchases made from electronic goods retailers and software & cloud system providers
U.S. purchases at restaurants, including takeout and delivery
U.S. purchases at gas stations
Transit purchases including trains, taxicabs, rideshare services, ferries, tolls, parking, buses, and subways
Monthly wireless telephone service charges made directly from a wireless telephone service provider in the U.S.
The nice part about this benefit is that your top two categories can change from month to month, reflecting your real-time business needs. But one of the ways to really maximize this benefit is that you can get 4x on online ads while most other cards offer a max of 3x. So, if you put all your online ads on this card and keep it as one of your top categories, you can get more points per dollar spent on ads than any other card!
And don’t worry about keeping track of which categories are your most used. The card automatically figures out your top two spending categories and awards points accordingly (you’ll see them as 1x until your statement closes, after which your top categories will be determined and points awarded).
To me, this is a huge perk because it keeps things simple. After all, as a business owner, you already have enough on your plate.
On the flip side, your regular business spending might not align with these categories. If that’s the case, I’d recommend a business card that has an increased earning rate on the ones that you do spend in, or one that earns more across all categories (you can check out which ones I recommend in this post on my favorite business cards).
Using Your Membership Rewards Points
With the Business Gold Card, you’ll earn Membership Rewards® points, which you can transfer to any of Amex’s 21 airline and hotel partners. Since Amex has a well-rounded suite of travel partners, Membership Rewards points are some of the most valuable points out there.

Most transfers are instant, though some can take up to 48 hours. Remember to only transfer the exact number of points that you need to book your flight or hotel. Transfers are one-way only.
You can also use your Membership Rewards points to book flights and hotels in the Amex Travel portal. I would advise against it though. It’s not as good a value as transferring your points to partners.
Up to $395 Per Year in Flexible Credit for Business Purchases
The Business Gold card offers statement credits in two categories, adding up to a potential annual savings of $395 per year (effectively paying for the cost of the card).
First, you can earn up to $20 in statement credits each month after you use the Business Gold Card for eligible U.S. purchases at FedEx, Grubhub, and office supply stores.
Second, you can earn up to $12.95 in statement credits each month after you pay for a monthly Walmart+ membership (subject to auto-renewal) with your Business Gold Card. (Up to $12.95 plus applicable taxes. Plus Ups not eligible.)
I find these statement credits a bit random, and they’re not the most helpful if you have an online business like me. I usually max out on the Grubhub credits though!
Access to Amex Offers
The Business Gold Card also has access to Amex Offers, an ever-changing roster of deals where you can save money or earn bonus points with select retailers. The offers are targeted, so every cardholder has their own unique array of offers at any given time. For these offers, you do have to add them to your card before making a purchase (or you won’t get the deal).
Usually, they’re structured as “spend X, get Y amount back as a statement credit” though sometimes they’ll offer bonus points or a percentage back. While you probably won’t be able to take advantage of most offers, the more you can, the more you can offset the card’s annual fee.
New offers get added as old ones expire, so it’s worth checking back every so often so you can add any offers to your card that you might use.
Who is the Business Gold Card for?
The Business Gold card is best for business owners who have regular spending in the six categories where you can earn 4x points. This card is especially ideal for entrepreneurs who don’t want to worry about rotating or pre-selecting bonus categories. All you have to do is use it for your regular business spending and you’ll get your points.
Like with any card, if you’re carrying a balance — or think you might — you shouldn’t get this one. Travel cards like this come with high interest rates, and the rewards you earn won’t make up for what you’ll lose in interest charges. Trust me, no amount of points is worth going into debt over!
The American Express Business Gold Card is one of my favorite business cards. The ability to automatically earn 4x points on your top two spending categories each month keeps things simple and helps you rack up points quickly. And more points equals more trips.

The lightweight material also didn’t sour or stink with sweat, so I was able to wear them multiple days in a row without a wash. Unveiled in Taormina, Sicily, just last week, Bvlgari’s latest high jewellery offering, Polychroma, places colour at the centre of its creative vision this year—both literally and conceptually. The name itself is a clever portmanteau: “poly” for many, “chroma” for colour, and a subtle nod to “Roma,” the brand’s home. For Lucia Silvestri, Bvlgari’s creative director of high jewellery, it was the perfect starting point for a collection that leans into bold combinations, rare gemstones, and design-led craftsmanship. In this conversation, Silvestri walks us through the thinking behind the designs, the challenges of working with extraordinary stones and why jewellery should be worn with ease and personality.

Pakkee Tan (PK): I keep going back to the wonderful play on words in this collection. What was the starting point for Polychroma for you?
Lucia Silvestri (LS): First, we thought about the theme of the collection, of course. When I heard the theme was Polychroma—“poly” meaning many, “chroma” meaning colours, and “Roma” at the end—I thought it was brilliant. The idea of beginning with colour really resonated with me. We always work with colour, but for this collection, we placed even more emphasis on it.
PK: Did you work with any historical or artistic references while designing Polychroma?
LS: Historical references? Not exactly. We did look at the archives for inspiration, but we weren’t trying to replicate anything specific. One important lesson I learned from Mr Bulgari was: “Don’t copy yourself.”

PK: There are some truly stunning pieces in this collection. Could you walk us through a few of your favourites?
LS: It’s very difficult to pick a favourite—I love them all! These pieces are like my children. But I can share one…
PK: Ah, the Cosmic Vault necklace.
LS: In the gallery, we have what we call the Five Wonders—five exceptional jewels. Each was a challenge, in terms of the stones, the craftsmanship, and the design. We wanted to surprise people with these extraordinary works of art. It’s not just Bvlgari, not just gemstones—it’s design and craftsmanship coming together.
For instance, there’s a 123-carat sapphire from Sri Lanka. My dream was to find a sapphire larger than the 66-carat one Elizabeth Taylor had in her necklace—specifically, a sugarloaf cut that was even bigger. Finally, I found it, and we began designing around it. We took inspiration from a brocade curtain we saw in Venice. You can’t see the back of the necklace here, but it’s magnificent.

PK: What was the largest stone you worked with in this collection? Any particular challenges?
LS: The largest is a 241-carat emerald—the biggest faceted emerald Bvlgari has ever used. Previously, we mounted a 300-carat cabochon, but this one is faceted. It’s extraordinary in colour, transparency, and cut—truly one of a kind. The idea was to focus all attention on the stone, without losing Bvlgari’s distinctive design touch. We kept the setting geometric, almost Art Deco, but simple and modern. You still see the necklace, but the emerald commands all the attention.
PK: Was it challenging to work with an emerald of this size?
LS: Absolutely. Emeralds are delicate. We went through many sketches before finalising the design. We started working on this piece around two years before the collection’s launch.

PK: I saw the Inside the Dream documentary in 2023—it showed how much iteration and planning goes into using a single stone. Was this a similar process?
LS: Every stone has its own story. This one was different from the 93-carat cabochon you mentioned. But yes, each gem requires its own unique approach.
PK: What’s your personal philosophy when it comes to wearing jewellery? I follow you on Instagram and you always wear it with such joyful abandon.
LS: I love playing with different collections—Tubogas, chains, coloured gems. I’m always in something colourful. I don’t like to take things too seriously; jewellery should be playful and bring joy. Mixing and matching allows your personality to shine through in a unique way.
PK: Do you take the same approach with high jewellery?
LS: Yes, it’s the same. I love wearing big, beautiful necklaces—but when I do, I keep the earrings simple, even if their colour doesn’t match the necklace!
PK: You often cite India as one of your greatest sources of gemstones and inspiration. What keeps drawing you back?
LS: India is a very important country for me. I started travelling there more than 40 years ago. It’s not just about inspiration—it’s also one of the best gemstone markets in the world. The cutting traditions are exceptional, and we collaborate closely with cutters and rough stone dealers there. I grew up with that tradition, and now we continue to work closely with them. It’s a long-standing, meaningful relationship.

PK: You’ve worked with so many gemstones over the years. Are there any dream stones you’ve yet to work with?
LS: My dream is to find a ruby—a vibrant, emerald-cut ruby over 10 carats. That would be incredible.
PK: And finally, in the spirit of Polychroma and its Gallery of Wonders, what still brings you wonder?
LS: So many things bring me wonder—from jewels to nature to people. I’m a very curious person and I love life. I find wonder in seeing things from different angles and perspectives—I try to find beauty in the simplest of things. It’s really about our attitude: I love to enjoy life and see beauty everywhere.
